Baurzhan Momyshuly (1910–1982) was a legendary Soviet military commander, author, Hero of, and a master strategist of the Great Patriotic War.
During the war, he served brilliantly as a battalion commander, regiment commander, and division commander within the famous Panfilov Division. In the defense of Moscow, he distinguished himself through groundbreaking tactical maneuvers and indomitable leadership.
